I’m literally crying. I hate Ruben Amaro. He doesn’t know the meaning of building for the future. Say what you want, but every year since he’s been there, the Phils have gotten progressively worse. The facts don’t lie. 2008 was Gillicks team. Amaro is obsessed with the idea of now. Right now, and only now. He has to have the best players, and the minors mean nothing to him. He’s traded away each of his last top prospects. The Phillies are gonna need pitching. I just don’t understand how he doesn’t see that. There’s a point where you have to realize that putting a bunch of good players together doesn’t make a team. You need the team bonding and the home grown players and the overall good feeling, or else its just not real. I hate what the Phillies have become. I hate what Ruben Amaro Jr. has turned this team into. Argue if you may (no pun intended), but he’s digging deeper and deeper holes. I’m not happy with this. Gotta tough it out. They’re still my team, and I’ll love and support them no matter what, but… This is frustrating. Especially since I’ve watched both of my favorite prospects get traded before they made it to the majors. Jason Donald, and now Trevor May. I just wanted to see them in Phillies uniforms. Now I never will. Also…. You had to trade Worley? Really? Ugh. Well. I wish them both the best with the Twins.
